out or firewall Block (this just disables online detection) it will tell you
that an internet connection is required ... just click close,
Click again to activate or – B) click
activate and it will do an online check-in, just click close and again Click
Activate. Select option A or B.

Autodesk is pleased to announce the
availability of Maya 2020.This
release adds over 60 new animation features and
updates. What's New
in Maya 2020 This release provides new
tools and updates to help
animators, modelers, riggers, and technical artists
be more efficient and productive so they can spend more time on the creative. There's
no
denying there is a lot here for animators to be happy about: over sixty
new
animation features build on the Maya 2019 release, plus new Time Slider
bookmarks to help you organize your work in time and playback ranges. Updates
to Cached Playback provide new preview modes and
efficient caching for image
planes and dynamics, giving you faster playback and more predictable results.
Arnold GPU rendering is freshly out of
beta and included with Maya 2020, alongside the new version of Bifrost that
delivers significant performance improvements and several new pre-build graphs.
Arnold
GPU
Arnold for Maya (MtoA) version 4.0.0 (using Arnold 6 core) included in
Maya 2020 is now available for production-level rendering on CPU and GPU.
Bifrost Extension plug-in for Maya
Bifrost is a new procedural node diagram for creating simulation effects and
custom behaviors. It includes sample scenes and composites, and solvers
for Aero, combustion, cloth, and particle simulations. With the new Bifrost
graph editor, you can easily conceptualize, experiment, iterate, and package
effects within the studio and even on sites (such as the Bifrost AREA forum),
and eventually share them with other artists.
Polygon Remeshing and
Retopology The Mesh menu contains two new commands that you can use to easily
repair the topology or add it to a selected mesh. Simply select the
component or the entire mesh and run Remesh to add detail and evenly distribute
edges across the surface, then run Retopologize on the surface to turn all its
faces into quads. This can save hours or even days and avoid laborious
manual modeling cleanups.
The new tool node
creates two new tool nodes uvPin and probability in to allow the transformation
to follow the geometry. These nodes replace hair follicle or point On Poly
constraints, which provide higher performance and better control over how the
transformation follows the surface.
Both nodes are suitable for mesh or NURBS surfaces, and you can reuse an
instance of a node to drive multiple transformations with the same settings.
Proximity wrap deformer
With the new proximity wrap deformer, you can use other geometry as a driver to
deform the target geometry. Based on customer feedback, the proximity wrap
deformer now supports GPUs and resolves issues with Maya's default wrap
deformer.
Render Setup improvements
can now override attributes on each position marker of a gradient texture, such
as its color, position, and noise controls, to override shading on objects.
A new standard surface shader is available A new
standard surface shader is
now available for modeling materials used in visual effects and
animation. This surface shader is independent of the renderer, easy to
use, and only provides a few of the most useful and artist-friendly parameters. This
standard surface shader implements Autodesk Standard Surface Specification
version 1.0.1.
You can create a Standard Surface by clicking
the icon for a standard surface in the Rendering shelf or in the Create tab of
the Hypershade. Standard Surface is the default node and is created for
each new scene.
Binding improvements
Change Maya's transformation model.
Added new matrix input parentOffsetMatrix to all transformation-derived nodes
to simplify dependency graphs (DG) and directed acyclic graphs (DAG).
Autodesk Maya is a powerful, integrated 3D
modeling, animation, visual effects, and rendering software developed by
Autodesk Inc. This integrated node based 3D software finds its application in
the development of films, games, and design projects. A wide range of 3D visual
effects, computer graphics, and character animation tools make it an ideal
platform for 3D artists. The intuitive user interface and workflow tools of
Maya have made the job of design visualization specialists a lot easier.
Maya 2020 adds over 60 new animation features
and updates. In this series, Maya Animation Product Owner, Mark Tanner,
explores the latest updates in the Graph Editor.
Undoubtedly, this version will delight
animators: Maya 2019 adds more than 60 animation features and new Time Slider
bookmarks to help you time-based and playback Scope organization. Updated
Cached Playback to provide new preview modes and efficient caching for image
planes and dynamics to improve playback speed and predictability of results. With
the new Remesh and Retopologize commands, modelers can spend less time cleaning
up models. For the binder and character TD, we provide a new matrix-driven
workflow and a new package deformer. All in all, we hope that you will
have a smoother overall experience in the viewport, and now we have made some
improvements so that you can use the hardware more efficiently.
Introduces the new Arnold GPU Rendering Beta and
ships with Maya 2020, and also offers a new version of Bifrost that
significantly improves performance, as well as several new pre-built
charts. Check out the rest of the new features for more details!
